A trip on the Aphrodite is a true experience.

During the day sailing is the main object of attention; the captain and the crew on the professionally registered passengers-ship is responsible for the sailing of the ship, but would like to be helped by the guests. You can help with putting up the sails – by which nobody has to climb the mast - and learn to handle the complicated robes. Carouse, tacks, closing the bulkheads, belay the robes, are terms that will be known along the way. You are free to enter the control-house during the trip, to see the navigation of the ship. But you can also just take a chair on deck of the ship and read a book or just enjoy everything, leaving the work up to others.

When you come aboard of the ship you will not know the crew or passengers on the ship. But this won’t take long; everybody will get to know each other and will feel like a member of the crew very quickly. Besides coming into contact with nice people, you can also get to know more about the things you’re interested in on your own. For example: in the evening you can go for a walk on the bank, after the moor in the harbour. And sometimes the captain will hold a ‘ship’s council’ to make a program for the day adapted to the local circumstances.

During the journeys on the Aphrodite we experience all sorts of weathers. The weather is the most beautiful on the waters in the months of summer. We try to make as much use of the sails as we can. In addition to that, we combine the trips with discovering and enjoying the surroundings. Most of the time we will try to find a place in a harbour before the night falls. Of course there is always a chance that the wind is too strong; we adjust to that by searching for more sheltered waters or by waiting for sometime. Not everybody is a sailor and we take that into account.

What is included?

• These trips are completely provided: breakfast, lunch and dinner, coffee and tea. Next to that there are other drinks available for a consideration.
• The double room cabins, each with toilet and shower, are completely equipped including bed-clothes, towels, soap etc. On long journeys the sheets can be changed by request. The towels can be changed as many times as you want.
• You can travel by yourself to the departing or arriving harbour; this is not included in our prices. Some people take the opportunity to extend their trip with a stay in a hotel in or close to the harbour of arrival.
• We do not charge anything for the reservation.
• The General Terms of BBZ/MCVN/TCN apply to the booking-agreement. These General Terms will be send along with the booking-agreement. It is possible to receive these terms upfront if requested.
• We offer you the possibility to get an annulment-insurance; we will send you the information regarding this insurance along with the booking-agreement.
